Jeff Allen is the proud president of Communications Technologies Inc.. He has constructed a company that knows no limits in the IT field with skills and expertise ranging from VoIP to Cloud Applications as well as a degree from the University of Georgia. He has received many honors and awards that include past President of the Rotary Club of Burton, Paul Harris Fellow, Distinguished Honor Graduate, US ARMY Medal of Achievement, along with many others. He is also a part of a great deal of distinguishable organizations in the IT field like TAG National, NEC Dealers association, and Genesee Regional Chamber. Jeff's interests include spending time with his family,expanding CTI's growing business, new technology, and business opportunities.
Office Manager for 11 years at CTI. Responsibilities include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Front-line Service on all incoming calls.
Previous experience includes:
- Sales & Service Manager for 10 years at Citizens Bank in 100+ Representative Call Center; managed, trained and motivated staff to meet sales and service goals set by marketing promotions.
- Interview Placement Supervisor for Clerical Temp Agency for 8 years; conducted interviews, testing and placement of temporary clerical employees at businesses in Oakland and Genesee County area.
Jennifer Hunter has worked in telecom since 1993. She currently has an Associates degree in Computer Network Systems – Information Technology. She has certifications with the NEC products – Aspire, UX5000 & SV8100. She is also certified with Toshiba CTX product and Ortronics communication hardware. She is capable of working on the following products: NEC, Toshiba, Avaya/AT&T/Lucent, Nortel, Rolm, Panasonic, Macrotel/Samsung phone system and associated voicemail products. She can manage Netopia, Sonicwall and certain Cisco router/firewalls. Jennifer works with many IT departments in order to connect VoIP phones and SIP trunks. Jennifer has been with CTI since 1999 and currently holds the position of field service technician.
Doug Has been working in telecommunications since 1983. Certified in NEC, Iwatsu, Samsung, ESI and Avaya phone systems. Specialize in installation, service and repair and I enjoy working directly with customers. Personal interests include; reading, listening to music and working in my yard with his wife, Jeanne.
I have 33 years in the telecommunication industry primarily installing infrastructure of voice and data cabling. Experience includes phone system installs and service. Phone systems include NEC, Iwatsu, Avaya and several other systems. I take pride in the organization of phone cabinet wiring, backboard design and removing unnecessary abandoned and obsolete equipment. Well organized equipment rooms create a clean, labeled environment for future troubleshooting and repair. In the last 2 - 3 years, I have acquired experience with surveillance camera equipment installation and monitoring. Personal hobbies include; fishing, gardening and feeding the birds.
Erica is an administrative assistant. She comes to CTI with over 6 years of customer service and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan-Flint. Her responsibilities include accounts receivable, accounts payable and front-line service on all incoming calls.
As Controller of CTI, Sonya Allen is responsible for directing CTI's Operations Department, Accounts Receivable Department, budgeting and other dispatching and administrative functions. She joined the Company in February of 2003 and has served CTI in that capacity since her arrival.
Before joining CTI, Sonya worked in the legal field as a Paralegal for 13 years. She received her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Baker College.
Bindi, a border-aussie, was born March 9, 2010. She is a designer breed of a border collie / Australian shepherd mix (a.k.a.mutt). She was rescued by Fenton Adopt-a-Pet from a high kill shelter when she was only 6 weeks old. She was then donated to the Flint Institute of Music Charity Auction in May of 2010 where she was finally adopted by the Allen family. In keeping with her Australian background, she was named after Bindi Irwin by the successors of CTI.
As the first official mascot of CTI, her duties include offering unconditional affection to each member of CTI as well as visiting customers, graciously accepting treats from delivery organizations and comfortably napping on her blanket.
Joel Ahearne has over 16 years of Information Technology Support and Project Management background.
Joel has assumed the role of IT Projects and IT Sales for CTI. His customer service background allows him to work with every type of client in every type of environment. Attention to detail is very important to him as well as the sense of urgency when trouble shooting technical issues for the clients. Making sure every client is 100% satisfied is his goal.
Joel's interests include spending time with his family, mentoring youth, new technology, and sports.
Colleen comes to CTI with over 16 years of experience in sales and customer service. She has worked for 11+ years in the telecommunications industry with responsibilities including sales, marketing and training. Her success in building customer loyalty comes from a sincere desire to make sure her customers get the best possible service to meet their needs. Her role as a customer advocate is to ensure that her customers stay current with technology and receive exceptional service and value from both CTI and their connectivity providers.
Her interests include spending time with family, community involvement and keeping up with the ever-changing communications industry.

Cody is an IT technician. He comes to CTI from a background in office equipment networking and software support and has a Bachelor's degree in computer science from Baker College of Flint. His responsibilities include traveling to customer's workplaces and helping them with their day-to-day IT concerns.
His interests include writing and filming short films with his friends, as well as other nerdy endeavors.

Joe's position at CTI, Project Manager, is to facilitate smooth and easy installations for our customers. As a technologist, he loves learning new systems and helping others to utilize them to meet their business goals. Joe has been involved in the telephone business since 1983 when he started as a CSR cleaning customer's phones. Since then he has served many roles from cable installer to sales engineer to executive. Joe also has 31 years of computing and data communications experience including having built and operated a commercial Internet services provider for 10 years.
When not at CTI, he enjoys hanging out with family and friends, homesteading, golf, and playing guitar.
